"it hurts when i do this"

The 48 Hour Film Project recently came to Greensboro. What is it? Well, obviously, teams are given 48 hours to make a film. Production starts when the teams draw their genre from a hat. Spy, Horror, Superhero, Comedy, Romance, Science Fiction, etc. Then they are told the elements that must be included: a softball, a character named S. Stephens (a locksmith), and the line "It hurts when I do this." The film has to be between 4 and 7 minutes long, and if it's not handed in on time then the team is disqualified.

I think it is amazing how many (wannabe??) filmmakers are here in Greensboro. 32 teams were enrolled this year. Anyway, it's always a huge press story. And it is part of what proves that Greensboro is actually a good place for young folks to live and have fun.
