To add to my exercise regimen, I've rented some dvds from the library. I performed the pilates video yesterday and today and it was quite good. My muscles all over my body are awfully sore today. I really like the pilates workout because just when it starts getting tough and you want to stop, the instructor says something like, "You're doing great" or "Keep it up, just two more." She is so nice, and I really appreciate her encouragement.
I also tried the yoga workout yesterday. I knew I was going to hate it when the instructor was the most annoying person on the planet, and really tan, and trying to sound nice. She looked liked she could be holding a mixed drink, like a sex on the beach or a cosmo. I started it anyway and all of a sudden I found myself flying around the room like some lunatic trying to keep up. Apparently it's called aerobic vinyasa. Maybe I'll stick with pilates for now.
Jerry watched me for a while and said, "Mom, this video is making me sleepy." So I invited him to join me and he did. It was hilarious.
My mother said she would buy me all the equipment and videos she uses for working out, including weights and a gadget called a tushy something. We'll see how it goes. I can't report that I've "dropped a dress size" yet, but I'm feeling rather proud of myself.
