meditations: talking to a friend

After...
  • sixteen gin and tonics
  • Tuesday night on TBS (specifically - sex and the city)
  • forgetting to vote for Idol hopeful Bo due to the previous two bullet points
do I have any thoughts on a good friend? Of course.

I hope that the aforementioned friend understands the importance he has in my life. I hope that he knows his place in my heart. I hope that the corniness of this all leaves an imprint. I hope that the gin and he understand that I still have to get up in the morning to tend to a young child. I hope that although I will not proof-read everthing typed here tonight, that it still means a lot.

Should I be in bed? Uh-huh.

Next time I speak on the phone with aforementioned friend, should I get movie recommendations? Uh-huh.

I guess the movie recommendations are the most important thing, and here's why: I lost the bet with G for the men's NCAA tournament (how did he know about Milwaulkee-Wisconson?), but I won the bet for the women's NCAA therefore allowing me to attend a Saturday evening movie BY MYSELF. Buy I don't want to waste my time. I feel like "The Upside of Anger." Would it be a waste of time, or a good bet?

16 is inflated. In truth, I probably had about 5-ish. But I make 'em strong.

A true drunk doesn't bother with brand names, she takes what she gets.

But let me get the bottle...Seagram's Extra Dry Gin. Or as the bottle says, "The Perfect Gin." It's what my darling hubby got me from the ABC. I don't think he figured that when he asked me if I needed anything from the store, I would request hard liquor. Or maybe he did figure because he said exactly: "Do you need anything for Sex and the City tonight?"
