A conversation between me and Jerry, who will be three in one week:

M: Why do we have eyes?
J: So we don't run into things.

M: Why do we have ears?
J: So I can hear me.

M: Why do we have hands?
J: To hold onto things.

M: Why do we have feet?
J: So we can walk.

M: Why do we have legs?
(pause)
J: So we can walk.

M: Why do we have noses?
J: To smell.

M: Why do we have teeth?
J: To chomp the food that Daddy makes.

M: Why do we have hair?
(another pause)
J: So when it gets long you can cut it.
